Macaroni à la Otinja

P1000345An Italian meal with a Balkan flavour

Ingredients (4 people):

  • 1 pack of macaroni (500gr)
  • 1 yogurt (500gr)
  • 200gr. Balkan Cheese
  • 4-5 eggs
  • Vegeta
  • Optional: yellow cheese


  1. Boil the macaroni until they are almost cooked
  2. Dry the macaroni and put them back in the stewpan
  3. Add sunflower oil and vegeta in the stewpan and stir the ingredients for 2min on a hot plate
  4. Remove the pan from the hot plate, add the balkan cheese and stir
  5. Put the macaroni in an oven pan and spread the mixture equally
  6. Mix the eggs with the yogurt and sprinkle the macaroni with this mixture
  7. Wait approximately 30 seconds for the macaroni to absorb the yogurt mixture and then shake the oven pan
  8. Put the pan in a 200°C pre-heated oven and wait 10-15 minutes so that the upper layer of the macaroni gets visibly cooked
